One Ounce Gold Philharmoniker
Description One Ounce Gold Philharmoniker coins are minted by the Austrian Mint and first released in 1989. This coin was one of the world’s most popular during the nineties because of its award winning depiction of an assortment of musical instruments, including violins, a harp and a Viennese horn. The obverse of the coin pays homage to the great organ of the Musikverein concert hall in Vienna. Unlike some other gold coins, the Austrian Mint have not changed the design of the Philharmoniker since its initial release. One Ounce Gold Philharmoniker coins are minted in 24ct and originally had a face value of 2000 Austrian Schillings. The face value changed to 100 Euros in 2002, after the introduction of the euro currency. These coins are preowned, please contact us to find out what years we have available.
