One Ounce Gold Angel
Description One Ounce Angel (Isle of Man) is a gold coin produced by the Pobjoy Mint on the Isle of Man as a counterpart to the Isle of Man Noble. These coins were originally made in 22 carat before switching to 24 carat from 1994 onwards. The portrait on the reverse of the one ounce gold Angel, is of St Michael the Archangel. St Michael is mentioned in the teachings of Christianity, Judaism and Islam and is often depicted in art and sculpture as the defeater of Satan and leader of the army of God. Satan is usually portrayed as a dragon or serpent in art history, and the Angel coin is no different. The three legs “triskelion” symbol of the Isle of Man is featured at the top of the coin’s reverse. All of our gold Isle of Man Angel coins are verified for authenticity by our experienced team. Any coins that fall short of our quality standards are not re-sold.
