Netherlands 1 Ducat
Description Netherlands 1 Ducat Gold coins are made by the Royal Dutch Mint. The obverse of the coin features a standing, armoured knight, with the Latin inscription ‘CONCORDIA RES PARVAE CRESCUNT’ and year of mintage. The reverse of the coin features an ornamented square, within this is the Latin inscription ‘MO. AUR. REG. BELGII AD LEGEM IMPERII’ which means ‘Gold coin of the Kingdom of the Netherlands by law of the Empire’. These coins were minted between 1894-1937, each coin has a Royal Dutch Mint mark. The 1 Ducat also feature a privy mark, 1894-1908 (Halberd privy mark), 1909 (Halberd and star privy mark), 1909-1932 (Sea horse privy mark), 1937 (Grapes privymark).
