Mexican 2.5 Peso
Description Mexican 2.5 Peso coins (Dos Y Medio) were made between 1918-1948. These coins were also made in other denominations such as 5, 10, 20 and 50 Peso. 2.5 Mexican Peso coins are a symbol of Mexican independence from Spain. The coin reads the inscription ‘ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS’, alongside the famous Mexican coat of arms, with an eagle holding a serpent in its beak while perched atop a cactus. The reverse of the coin features the left facing portrait of Don Miguel Hidalgo, a leader for the movement for Mexico’s independence and a legendary figure in Mexican history. The reverse also has the face value of the coin, DOS Y MEDIO PESOS and the issuing year. These coins are preowned, please contact us to find out what years we have available.
