Description Mexican 10 Peso gold coins were issued during certain timeframes, firstly between 1905 to 1920 and again during 1961 and 1972. In 1959 only 50,000 of these coins was made. These coins were also made in other denominations such as 2.5, 5, 20 and 50 Peso. Mexican 10 Peso coins are a symbol of Mexican independence from Spain. The coin reads the inscription ‘ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS’, alongside the famous Mexican coat of arms, with an eagle holding a serpent in its beak while perched atop a cactus. The reverse of the coin features the left facing portrait of Don Miguel Hidalgo, a leader for the movement for Mexico’s independence and a legendary figure in Mexican history. The reverse also has the face value of the coin, DIEZ PESOS and the issuing year. These coins are preowned, please contact us to find out what years we have available. We have a range of Mexican gold coins available, they can be found [here](https://www.atsbullion.com/?s=mexican). All of our gold coins are verified for authenticity by our experienced team.
