Description Elizabeth II Sovereign 2012 marked the year of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Royal Mint issued an updated version of the classic St. George and the dragon design to celebrate her 60 years as monarch. This coin features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Ian Rank-Broadley and has a unique design compared to other years’ editions. Elizabeth II Sovereign 2012 coins are minted in 22ct gold and have been so since the original “modern” design was issued in 1817. This coin comes in a presentation card with information about the coin and specifications. These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and VAT free.
