Description Colombia 5 Pesos gold coins were made between 1924 to 1930 and were one of the most popular coins from the South American continent. The Colombia 5 Peso does have two different designs. One is a portrait of Simon Bolivar, first issued in 1918 to mark the 100th anniversary of his victory in the war of independence and made between 1918 and 1928. The other design is a man who is kneeling down and chiselling at a piece of rock. The inscription of “Republica Colombia” appears at the top of both designs and then year of mintage at the bottom. The reverse of the coin has maintained the same design throughout production, we see the Coat of Arms for Colombia along with the denomination or face value of the coin ‘CINCO PESOS’. These coins are preowned, please contact us to find out what years we have available. Our range of world gold coins can be found [here](https://www.atsbullion.com/product-category/gold/gold-coins/world-coins/). All of our gold coins are verified for authenticity by our experienced team. Any coins that fall short of our quality standards are not re-sold.
