Charles III Gold Sovereign 2025
Description Charles III Gold Sovereign dated 2025 preowned coins. In 1817 as part of a reform of coinage, the modern sovereign was introduced, with Benedetto Pistrucci’s classic portrayal of St. George slaying the dragon. This coin features the portrait of His Majesty King Charles III. The 2025 bullion sovereign, will be the last year that the Royal Mint issue the coin in the ‘red’, rose gold finish. The 2026 sovereign will return to it’s traditional ‘yellow gold’ finish by including a greater amount of silver, which gives it the lighter colour. These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and VAT free. All UK gold and silver bullion coins manufactured by the Royal Mint are legal tender and are exempt from Capital Gains Tax.
