Brilliant Uncirculated Gold £5 – Four Coin Portrait Collection
Description This Brilliant Uncirculated Gold, Four Coin Portrait Collection, is made up of four £5 coins, also known as the Quintuple Sovereign. Brilliant Uncirculated or ‘BU’ coin is one that has never been in circulation. This marks the 50th anniversary of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation and brings together the four royal portraits that have appeared on the iconic sovereign coins, since its introduction in 1984. The reverse of the coins feature Benedetto Pistrucci’s classic portrayal of St. George slaying the dragon. This set consists of Arnold Machin’s 1984 portrait, Raphael Maklouf’s 1987 and 1985 portrait and finally Ian Rank-Broadley’s 2003 portrait. Each coin in this portrait collection comes in a plastic capsule enclosed in an original Royal Mint box, along with an informative booklet and certificate of authenticity. These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) free. All UK gold and silver bullion coins manufactured by the Royal Mint are legal tender and are exempt from Capital Gains Tax.
