Description Belgium 20 Franc gold coins were minted between 1870-1882 and one of the most frequent of the Belgian gold coins. The coins features the right facing portrait of the Belgium monarch, Leopold II who reigned during 1865-1909. He is surrounded by the words ‘Roi des Belges’ and the issuing year. The reverse of the Belgium 20 Franc features the crowned arms of Belgium, with the inscription ‘DIEU PROTEGE LA BELGIQUE’ and ‘L’UNION FAIT LA FORCE’, which in 1830 was the Belgian motto after it’s revolution. The value of the coin ’20 FR’ is also show, which is Belgian 20 Francs. These coins are minted by the Royal Mint of Belgium and have a pure gold weight of 5.806g.
