Austria 100 Schilling
Description Austria 100 Schilling gold coins were produced between 1926-1934 and minted by Münze Österreich. The Gold Schilling was the official currency of Austria between 1926 and 1938. Coins dated 1926-1934 were minted with the emblem on the front and 1935-1938 bear the emblem of the corporate state. The obverse of the coin features the Imperial Eagle, holding a sickle and hammer, with the Austrian shield, surrounded by the inscription ‘Republik Osterreich’. The reverse of the coin features the value (100 Schilling), beside two branches of Edelweiss, the national flower of Austria. The date is shown under the value, with two stars either side. There is also an inscription that reads ‘Hartig’ for the engraver Arnold Hartig. These coins are preowned, please contact us to find out what dates we have available.
