75th Anniversary of VE Day Sovereign – Struck on 8 May 2020
Description The 75th Anniversary of VE Day Sovereign was struck on the 8th May 2020 to mark this major milestone moment. After 6 years of struggle and sacrifice, on 8th May 1945 the Allies accepted Germany’s surrender, when people took to the streets to celebrate the end of the Second World War in Europe. This was one of the greatest moments in British history, known as VE day. This coin has a limited mintage of 750 coins. The reverse of the coin features the iconic St George and Dragon design, but features a VE75 privy mark. The obverse of the coin features Jody Clark’s portrait of Elizabeth II. It comes with original Royal Mint box, outer packaging and certificate of authenticity. This coin is struck in Brilliant Uncirculated matte finish. These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) free. All UK gold and silver bullion coins manufactured by the Royal Mint are legal tender and are exempt from Capital Gains Tax.
