Proof Gold Premium Three Coin Sovereign Set 2010
Description 2010 Proof Premium Three Coin Sovereign Set consists of a Double Sovereign (£2), full sovereign and a half sovereign. Sovereigns were first struck in 1489 and is one of Britain’s most famous coins. The design features Benedetto Pistrucci’s iconic St George and Dragon and the obverse features Elizabeth II portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley. The double sovereign (£2) and full sovereign bears Pistrucci’s initials, whereas the half sovereign differs and does not have any initials at all. This three coin sovereign set had a limited mintage of 750 and is struck to proof finish, 22ct gold. The set comes in the original Royal Mint box and outer packaging, along with a certificate of authenticity. These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) free. All UK gold and silver bullion coins manufactured by the Royal Mint are legal tender and are exempt from Capital Gains Tax. All of our proof gold coins and sets are verified for authenticity by our experienced team. Any coins that fall short of our quality standards are not re-sold.
