This Pre-Owned 2009 Robert Burns £2 Proof Gold Coin was issued to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns. The coin features a simple design with the inscription taken from Burns' most famous work, Auld Lang Syne; 'We'll take a cup o' kindness yet for auld lang syne'. The obverse side of the coin bears Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The edge of the coin is inscribed with the words 'SHOULD AULD ACQUAINTANCE BE FORGOT'.
