2014 marked the 300th anniversary of the death of Queen Anne, an enduring monarch whose reign was marked by a selection of much-loved coinage. The Royal Mint struck this fully gold-plated Five Pound Crown to remember the Queen in a special commemoration. The choice to apply a layer of .999 gold to this sterling silver Crown reflects the coinage of Queen Anne and speaks to the baroque style of the time. A modern Queen, Elizabeth II, is presented on the obverse as designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. Anne herself is depicted on the reverse of this 28.28-gram silver-base coin, framed in a contemporary style. The Royal Mint presented only 1,665 of these editions to fans of UK royal history. This pre-owned example includes the presentation box and booklets. System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
