Shield reverse 2002 bullion Half Sovereign from The Royal Mint in the original card holder. Coins in the 2002 Sovereign family feature a one-year-only reverse design, authorised to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee year. Timothy Noad's shield design is inspired by historic Victorian gold Sovereigns and has become highly sought after by collectors. In other respects, the 2002 Half Sovereign conforms to the strict specification established for these British coins all the way back in 1817. Each piece is struck in 3.99 grams of 91.67% fine gold, offering investors 0.1177 troy ounces of pure precious metal. While most pre-owned 2002 Half Sovereigns are found loose, without any additional packaging, these ones come in a presentation pack, ideal for display and storage.
