2025 ΕΛ privy Sovereign PCGS MS68
Struck in limited numbers by the Royal Mint for Greece’s Piraeus Bank, the 2025 ΕΛ privy sovereign was struck to commemorate decades of Anglo-Hellenic co-operation, as well the gold sovereign's unique place in the Greek community. The coin, bearing the unique ΕΛ privy (for Ελλάδα, meaning Hellas), was available only to the bank’s customers in Greece, and sold over the counter; online or mail orders were not accepted. As a result, the coin has not been available on world coin markets. Indeed, we have not seen it available for sale on the secondary market anywhere outside of Greece. PCGS has graded just two examples (4/26). If you collect interesting sovereign issues, and don’t yet have the Hellenic sovereign, this is an essential acquisition. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
