Highly collectable ten-ounce silver proof William IV Crown from a limited edition presentation of just 90 coins. This entry to The Royal Mint's celebrated Great Engravers series is a tribute to Jean Baptiste Merlen's design for the 1831 Crown. The reverse of these rare British coins displays the Royal Arms, draped with an ermine mantle and encircled by the Order of the Garter. It's an elegant motif that The Royal Mint's team has recreated in every detail for this prestigious reissue. Struck in solid 999 silver, this large coin measures 65 millimetres in diameter, allowing Merlen's shield to be appreciated in all its glory. A worthy addition to the Great Engravers collection, this 10oz coin is supplied in the original presentation case with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
