This one-ounce 999 silver coin is part of a special collection of investment pieces from The Royal Mint, celebrating the expansion of the organisation's bullion business into Asia. On this collectable coin, Philip Nathan's classic 'standing Britannia' design is encircled by an ornate oriental border, fusing British and Chinese cultural traditions. This motif was inspired by Chinese-themed interiors at the Royal Pavilion, Brighton and Buckingham Palace, London. These 2019 oriental Britannias are from a limited mintage of 50,000. The obverse features Jody Clark's fifth and final portrait of Her Majesty the Queen against a guilloche background, a security feature used by The Royal Mint for its premium bullion coins. These pre-owned 1oz silver coins offer the same amount of pure silver as their standard counterparts, enhanced by the collectability of the Oriental Border detail.
