A scarce and collectable White Greyhound of Richmond gold proof 1oz coin from The Royal Mint's sought-after Queen's Beasts collection. This series celebrates Queen Elizabeth II's royal and noble ancestry through the heraldic beasts that feature on the shields of arms of her forebears. The White Greyhound, symbolising loyalty and vigour, was adopted by Henry VII to reflect his descent from both the Lancastrian and Yorkist royal houses. Jody Clark's dynamic reverse shows the hound supporting a shield emblazoned with a crowned Tudor rose, representing the unification of England's warring dynasties. Struck in one troy ounce of 24-carat (999.9) gold to immaculate proof quality, this £100 coin was issued in 2021 with a worldwide limit of just 380 pieces. These pre-owned coins are supplied in their official Royal Mint case with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
