Add the commanding 2018 Black Bull of Clarence 1oz gold proof coin to your Queen's Beasts collection. Issued as the fourth release in The Royal Mint's prestigious series, this £100 coin is struck in one troy ounce of 24-carat gold to proof standard. The Queen's Beasts collection takes inspiration from the ten heraldic statues that stood at Westminster Abbey during the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The Black Bull, a Yorkist symbol of strength and power, was used by Edward IV and Richard III to underline their descent from Lionel of Antwerp, 1st Duke of Clarence. Jody Clark's reverse shows the bull rampant, supporting a shield that displays the Royal Arms of Yorkist and Tudor kings. Just 400 of these limited edition coins were authorised for release by The Royal Mint, each supplied in a presentation case with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
