2020 Winnie The Pooh Piglet Fifty Pence Silver Proof Coin
Limited edition colour printed silver proof Fifty Pence in a special case. Inspired by A A Milne’s beloved Winnie-the-Pooh books, The Royal Mint’s ‘Classic Pooh’ series was created in collaboration with the Walt Disney Company. This coin is inspired by Winnie the Pooh’s loyal friend Piglet and is the third release in this charming and popular series. Based on one of the stuffed animals owned by Milne’s son, Piglet is depicted as generally timid but always attempting to conquer his fears. The character is shown on this coin in a design inspired by E H Shepards original illustrations and Disney’s 1977 The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Piglet is shown blowing on a dandelion, a bee buzzing under the word ‘Piglet’. Only on silver proof coins is the engraving highlighted with special colour printing. This design is paired with Jody Clark’s fifth official coinage portrait of Her Majesty the Queen that appears to the obverse. Struck in 8.00 grams of .925 sterling silver, this coin is finished to proof standard. Intended for collectors, proof coins have a fine finish, achieved with multiple strikes of hand-prepared dies. You’ll receive your silver proof Piglet coin in its original printed acrylic presentation box: ideal for display and keeps the coin safe from little fingers. A numbered certificate of authenticity is also included. System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
