Struck by The Royal Mint in 0.9995 fine platinum, this stunning release marks 350 years since Britannia reappeared on British coinage. The coin's reverse, designed by Dan Thorne, depicts a modern Britannia - complete with shield, lion, and trident - set against a graphic backdrop of sun rays and waves. Thorne is one of the youngest designers to create an image of Britannia for UK coins. His work is paired with Jody Clark's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II: one of the last times that this effigy was used before Her Majesty's passing. One of just 150 issued, this platinum proof quarter ounce coin is supplied in the original presentation case with a numbered certificate of authenticity enclosed.
