Struck by The Royal Mint to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Queen Elizabeth II, this exceptional 2026 gold Five Pound is one of the scarcest releases in the anniversary collection, with only 125 examples authorised for issue. Her Majesty was born on 21 April 2026 and came to the throne in 1952, marking her Platinum Jubilee in 2022. Minted in 22-carat gold, this premium proof coin features an elegant reverse design by heraldic artist Timothy Noad, taking inspiration from the ironwork at St George's Chapel, Windsor, where the late Queen is laid to rest, and includes the Latin phrase used on old English coinage. With an obverse portrait of King Charles III, these 2026 gold £5 coins are supplied in a Mint presentation case, complete with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
