Collectable gold proof £25 coin from the Royal Tudor Beasts collection, featuring the Seymour Panther. The Royal Mint's Tudor Beasts series is inspired by a group of heraldic statues at Hampton Court Palace, representing the lineage of King Henry VIII and his third Queen, Jane Seymour. The panther - represented in heraldry as a spotted big cat - was a symbol adopted by Jane Seymour upon her marriage. David Lawrence, the artist behind the Tudor Beasts series, depicts this heraldic holding a winged shield, a symbol associated with Jane's family, the Seymours. Lawrence's panther is paired with Jody Clark's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This highly collectable UK gold coin, the first in a popular series, is struck in 7.80 grams of 22-carat gold with a fine, proof finish. It's one of just 1,000 of its kind issued and is presented in its original packaging with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
