1/4oz gold White Greyhound of Richmond bullion coin. This piece comes from The Royal Mint’s popular Queen’s Beasts series, inspired by the heraldic creatures that populate the coats of arms of Her Majesty’s royal and noble ancestors. A runaway success for The Royal Mint, their beastly coin series included ten designs, plus a ‘completer’, released between 2016 and 2021. The greyhound that appears on the reverse of this coin was a symbol associated with both the House of York and the House of Lancaster during the Wars of the Roses, connoting loyalty and vigour. Henry VII, the first Tudor king, adopted the dog to indicate his descent from both rival houses and its a crowned Tudor rose that appears on the shield in this dynamic design. The image is the work of Jody Clark, as is the portrait of Elizabeth II that features on the obverse of this piece. This quarter ounce gold coin has the textured background typical of bullion coins in this range. It’s composed of 7.81 grams of 999.9 gold and has a face value of £25 / Twenty Five Pounds. It’s supplied raw but will be carefully packaged for delivery by our team in Wiltshire. System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
