Secure a highly collectable 2020 White Lion of Mortimer 1/4oz gold proof coin, the seventh release in The Royal Mint's Queen's Beasts series. The white lion is a noble beast linked to Anne de Mortimer, whose lineage gave Henry VII, the first Tudor king, a claim to the English throne. Jody Clark's reverse shows the lion standing upright, one paw resting on a shield that displays a white rose encircled by a golden sun: a powerful emblem of the House of York. Struck in 7.80 grams of 999.9 fine gold, this £25 quarter-ounce coin is finished to proof standard through repeated strikes with specially prepared dies. Only 1,000 of these coins were issued worldwide, making this one of the scarcer entries in the series. Each of these pre-owned coins is offered in its original Royal Mint case with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
