This equine addition to the collection stars the White Horse of Hanover: a creature that entered the British heraldic stable with its first Hanoverian monarch, George I. It’s his arms that this life-like beast rears over on this one ounce coin. The design which appears on the reverse of this coin is the work of Jody Clark who is also the artist behind the royal portrait that appears on the obverse.
