Limited edition of just 50! High-relief 2014 gold five-ounce Britannia with a stunning one-year-only design by Jody Clark. Britannia has represented the nation for 2,000 years, but it was only in 1987 that she got her own Royal Mint coin series. These popular bullion coins, issued in gold and silver, are sought-after by investors, but it's the limited edition proof pieces, produced in very limited numbers, that attract serious collectors. This stunning 156.295-gram piece from 2014 is struck in 999.9 fine gold. It features Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, paired with Jody Clark's interpretation of the Britannia legend. The personification of the British Isles is shown with a lion at her feet, in front of a globe, in a motif inspired by historic British coinage. This premium 24-carat gold coin comes in its original Royal Mint packaging with a numbered certificate of authenticity enclosed. The interior of the case is also numbered.
