These 2019 silver Britannia sets contain proof-finish 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz, 1/10oz, 1/20oz and 1/40oz coins from The Royal Mint. We are offering these pre-owned collectors sets in the original black presentation box with a numbered certificate of authenticity enclosed. The coins themselves are protected by individual clear capsules. These 2019-dated coins are struck in 60.31 grams of 999 silver and are all UK legal tender with face values ranging from £2 to 5p. Each obverse shows Jody Clark's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, scaled for the varied surface sizes. Clark's effigy was the fifth and final definitive image of Her Majesty used on British coinage and shows Elizabeth wearing the Diamond Diadem. The reverses of the coins in this set show a one-year-only design by artist David Lawrence which shows Britannia holding a trident and shield, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on her head. At her side is the lion of England. Together they look out to sea and the billowing clouds. This version of Britannia was only used on proof coins issued in 2019 and is not seen on bullion Britannias with the same date. Please note that silver proof coins - including those in these 2019 sets - may develop toning (also known as tarnishing) over time.
