Buy a 2001 four-coin silver proof Britannia set from The Royal Mint: one of just 4,596 issued. These collectable sets contain a One Ounce Britannia, a Half Ounce Britannia, a Quarter Ounce Britannia and a Tenth Ounce Britannia, all dated 2001. Each of these pieces features a one-year-only reverse design, created by sculptor Philip Nathan for use exclusively on 2001 Britannias. The female personification of the British Isles is accompanied by the English lion on these Royal Mint coins, reminding us of William Wyon's famous 1937 'Una and the Lion' gold £5 coin though the style is very different. Nathan is also the artist behind the classic 'standing Britannia' motif that is used on most of these UK coins. The obverse used on the coins in this 2001-dated set is Ian Rank-Broadley's fourth definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. These coins are struck in 958 (95.8% pure) silver, an alloy also known as 'Britannia silver'. That means that the total silver content of the coins in these sets amounts to 57.50 grams. Our 2001 silver proof Britannia sets are pre-owned and may show signs of toning which is typical of older Royal Mint coins. They are offered in their original packaging, complete with a certificate of authenticity. System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
