Coloured Fifty Pence depicting the Plesiosaurus - fossil huntress Mary Anning's marine discovery - in a brilliant uncirculated finish. Robert Nicholls, in collaboration with the Natural History Museum, produced the scientifically accurate reverse design present on this cupronickel 50p. The long-necked Plesiosaurus floats above a representation of an original fossil, as found near Lyme Regis by an eagle-eyed Mary Anning. The obverse of this 2021 Tales of the Earth coin features Her Late Majesty Elizabeth II's definitive effigy by The Royal Mint's Jody Clark. Included with your pre-owned Plesiosaurus coin is the informational folder, which for this special coloured edition incorporates a pop-up Plesiosaurus perfect for display. Struck in 8.00 grams of cupronickel, this British coin has a diameter of 27.30 millimetres and a face value of 50 Pence. The collectable BU finish - meaning the coin is struck multiple times - is joined by colouring as sharp as a Plesiosaurus' protruding teeth!
