2020 Music Legends Queen Five Pound Crown Brilliant Uncirculated Coin In Hot Space Folder
The Music Legends is an exciting new coin series from The Royal Mint, with the first release being the 2020 BU Queen Five Pound Coin. As part of this first release, these Queen £5 coins are issued in unique limited edition packaging, with only 25,000 coinsleeves available in this “Hot Space” presentation. It’s fitting that the UK rock band Queen were chosen to be on the first coin in this series - the rock n’ roll pioneers were set up in 1970 and in their six-decade career have sold close to 300 million records and released 18 number-one albums. In a design approved by both Brian May and Rodger Taylor, artist Chris Facey put the text “QUEEN” in the centre of the reverse surrounded by the instruments which made each band member so iconic. There’s Freddie Mercury’s Bechstein grand piano, Brian May’s Red Special guitar, John Deacon’s Fender Precision bass and Roger Taylor’s Ludwig bass drum, and the lettering is underlined by a standing microphone on its side. This is the first time ever that a UK musical act has been depicted on a British coin. The obverse shows the fifth UK coin portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which was designed by Royal Mint engraver, Jody Clark. The coin itself weight 28.28 grams and measures 38.61 millimetres in diameter. Your coin will come encapsulated for added protection, and is issued in “Hot Space” packaging which takes inspiration from the Queen album of the same name. A perfect present for any coin collector or Queen fan. System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
