The White Horse of Hanover is the ninth design in the popular Queen's Beast series from The Royal Mint, each representing a period in the UK Monarchy's past. This Five Pound Crown features the White Horse important to George I and the wider Hanoverian family: ancestors of today's British royals. The reverse features Jody Clark's modern take on the symbolic equine, shown rearing over the Hanoverian Arms. Elizabeth II, who's ancestry is studded by these beasts, is present on the obverse in a definitive design also by Jody Clark. This £5 commemorative Crown has a diameter of 38.61 millimetres and is struck in 28.28 grams of cupronickel alloy. The Queen's Beasts is a sought-after series for collectors, and we offer this pre-owned BUnc coin in the original folder and protective slipcase. An opportunity to add to your collection an important piece of both British history and, now, the Queen's Beasts series.
