Limited edition BU £5 Elton John coin in original 'Illustration' coin sleeve. This is the second release in the Royal Mint's Music Legends coin series commemorates Sir Elton John, one of the best-selling artists of all time with over 50 UK Top 40 hits. Born Reginald Dwight, the London native showed an incredible gift for music at a young age and by the time he was in his mid-20s he was well on the way to global stardom. He has collaborated with lyricist Bernie Taupin since 1967, selling over 300 million records worldwide and releasing over 30 studio albums. Sir Elton's fashion sense is legendary, and this UK coin perfectly depicts that on the reverse. Designed by Bradley Morgan Johnson, it shows the symbols synonymous with Sir Elton: the boating hat, the quaver note sunglasses and a bow tie, all set over a Union Jack background. Jody Clark's interpretation of HM The Queen on the obverse complements the reverse. It's the 5th British coinage portrait of Elizabeth II. The specifications of the cupro-nickel coin are a weight of 28.28 grams and a diameter measuring 38.61 millimetres. It's housed in a plastic capsule for added protection, which in turn is attached in a colourful limited edition folder. Just 15,000 have been released in this presentation, which makes it the ideal gift for any Elton John fan. System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
