2019 Yale Of Beaufort Five Pound Crown Brilliant Uncirculated Queen's Beasts Coin
The mythical and heraldic Yale is the sixth of the Queen's Beasts in the Royal Mint's collection. This 2019 Five Pound commemorative Crown depicts the magnificent creature rearing over a shield adorned by the Crowned Portcullis: symbol of the UK Houses of Parliament. Designer Jody Clark portrays the Yale, an important creature for the Tudor Dynasty, in suitably fantastical fashion with great horns and protruding tusks. The work of Royal Mint coin designer Jody Clark is also found on the obverse, through the fifth definitive effigy of Elizabeth II. The BU Yale of Beaufort Crown is struck using 28.28 grams of cupronickel and has a diameter of 38.61 millimetres.
