\*2018\* Sir Isaac Newton Fifty Pence from The Royal Mint Experience's Strike Your Own range. This design commemorates the Scientific Revolution's pioneering force - Sir Isaac Newton - who also served as 'Master of the Mint'. The solar reverse design is credited to Graphic Designer Aaron West and takes inspiration from Newton's Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy. This design entered general circulation in 2017 (dated as such) and proved an extremely popular limited release. This positive response prompted the Mint to offer it in their 2018 Strike Your Own Range - making this the only way to obtain a 2018-dated Sir Isaac Newton 50p. Weighing 8.00 grams and holding a 27.30 millimetre diameter, your cupronickel Fifty Pence holds an obverse featuring Elizabeth II as designed by Jody Clark. Included with this pre-owned 2018 Isaac Newton 50p is the original Royal Mint Strike Your Own packaging. It doesn't take a sudden apple to the head to realise this coin's collectability!
