2017 Unicorn of Scotland Five Pound UK Crown from The Royal Mint's Queen's Beasts series. The legendary equine - central to Scottish heraldry - is the second design of the 10 individual beasts present at Elizabeth II's coronation. The Royal Mint's own Jody Clark is credited with the artistry on both sides of this brilliant uncirculated coin, starting with the definitive effigy of Elizabeth II, keeper of these beasts, on the obverse side. The reverse displays the Unicorn of Scotland leaping over a shield bearing a fiercely rampant red lion - another key symbol in Scottish heraldry. As with other brilliant uncirculated Queen's Beasts coins, this 2017 Unicorn edition has a gross weight of 28.28 grams and a diameter of 38.61 millimetres. Struck in cupronickel alloy, it holds a denomination value of Five Pound sterling. Included with your pre-owned 2017 Queen's Beasts coin, which is no longer available directly, is the illustrated information folder.
