Collectable silver two ounce bullion coins. This 2018 Black Bull of Clarence coin forms part of the highly popular Queen's Beasts series from The Royal Mint, which are available in a wide range of sizes and metals. These pre-owned coins are the 2oz silver bullion coins, issued loose and intended to be both an investment and a collectable. The Queen's Beasts series began in 2017, the same year Elizabeth II became the longest-reigning monarch in British history. On this addition of the collection, the coin captures a depiction of the Black Bull crossed with a shield. The Black Bull of Clarence is mostly associated with the rise of the House of York during the 15th century, in particular King Edward IV and King Richard III. To demonstrate their royal ancestry, they adapted this symbol of power and strength, which traces its roots to Lionel of Antwerp, 1st Duke of Clarence. This reverse was designed by Jody Clark, who places the royal arms as they looked during the Wars of the Roses in the centre of this design. The obverse shows the fifth British coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which was also designed by Clark. As pre-owned bullion coins, these Queen's Beasts pieces may have some slight marks and scratches associated with mass production methods, which is perfectly normal and won’t affect their value or silver content. Specifications are a 99.99% fine silver alloy, a total weight of 62.42 grams, a diameter of 38.61 millimetres and an actual silver weight of exactly two troy ounces.
