1882 One Dollar PCGS MS62
Encased in one of PCGS’ old “rattler” holders (officially known as Generation 1.2, and holdered by PCGS between February 1986 and September 1989). There are cracks in the holder, although the integrity of the holder has not been impaired. I’ve decided to keep the coin in the damaged holder as some coin collectors prefer these old rattler holders, but the next owner of this coin may have the [coin reholdered at their cost, if they like](https://www.drakesterling.com/news-wire/post/pcgs-grading-costs-and-services "PCGS grading costs"). Please ask if you’d like this arranged. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
