2012 Sovereign PCGS MS67
The 2012 Diamond Jubilee sovereign is notorious for tiny abrasions and indentations on the obverse fields. As a result, the average 2012 sovereign, by my estimates, grades MS64, maybe MS65. The example photographed above has been graded MS67 by PCGS, and is the single-finest graded by them since the coin was issued last year (January 2013). As more examples are graded, I think MS67 will continue to be a superior grade for this type, and will remain very collectable for the grade-conscious collector. Sovereigns from 2012 feature a stylised interpretation of the classic St George and the Dragon reverse, and were issued to commemorate the 75^th^ anniversary of the modern, post-1937 sovereign. Very attractive! Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
