1821 Proof Sovereign PCGS PR62DCAM
Ex-Spink Numismatic Circular, March 1999, ex-Bentley Collection, May 2012, lot 11. It’s been some time since I’ve handled an 1821 proof sovereign. This example is from the famous Bentley Collection, and, although somewhat handled, retains much of the bloom and cameo it was issued with. Rare in any grade, and only the second example that I have had the pleasure of offering since 2007. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
