2014 Delhi Half Sovereign PCGS MS68
Building on the success of last year’s full sovereign issue, MMTC-PAMP, in conjunction with the Royal Mint, has issued a gold half sovereign; this is the first time that a half sovereign has been minted on Indian soil. Dated 2014 and emblazoned with a bold “I” mintmark on the reverse, the coin is of superior quality to last year’s full sovereign issue, in my view. I have picked up a small quantity of Indian-made half sovereigns, but only two have graded MS68, which is the highest grade in which this issue is currently available (8/14). Very attractive, and almost proof-like, the issue is sure to be a hit with half sovereign collectors all around the world. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
