1988 Coat of Arms Mule Fifty Cent PCGS MS64
While many collectors are aware of the 2000 one dollar mule, only the most knowledgeable are familiar with the fifty cent mule of 1988. Featuring the coat of arms instead of the commemorative first fleet design, the mule 1988 fifty cent is known by only a handful of pieces, while PCGS has graded just four (12/23). The present coin, photographed above, is the first we’ve had the opportunity to offer our collectors, and is out of an old Western Australian collection. RARE in any grade, and a must for the connoisseur decimal coin collector. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
