This 2026 Australian Kangaroo 1oz Silver Coin celebrates Australia's most recognisable animal in a striking design. The reverse of the coin depicts a centralised image of a leaping kangaroo, surrounded by rays of bursting sunlight. The inscription "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO" is visible on a wavy-lined border, along with the Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark. Details of the coins year-date, weight and fineness also feature. The obverse of the coin bears Dan Thorne's portrait of King Charles III, along with the coins monetary denomination shown below. - Contains 1 troy ounce of 999.9 fine silver. - Manufactured by The Perth Mint, Australia. - Struck to a [bullion](https://atkinsonsbullion.com/help-advice/glossary) finish. - Diameter: 40.90mm. Thickness: 3.50mm. - Supplied in an Atkinsons plastic coin flip. - Orders in multiples of 25 will be supplied in mint tubes. The kangaroo is the largest marsupial surviving on earth today. Its distinctive style of movement, hopping on its hind legs whilst using its large muscular tail for balance, means it is one of the only animals which is unable to move backwards easily. A recognisable symbol of Australia, the kangaroo features in the Australian national emblem alongside the emu. An iconic product crafted by The Perth Mint, the design of the Australian Kangaroo coin changes annually, making it appealing to collectors. As proud bullion distributors of The Perth Mint, we purchase these coins directly from The Perth Mint in Australia. Silver is subject to VAT at the standard rate of 20%.
