The Pre-Owned South African 1 Rand Gold Coin depicts a bust of Jan van Riebeck, Dutch founder of Cape Town, South Africa on the obverse. The reverse of the coin shows a rendition of a Springbok, similar to the design on the Krugerrand. - Weighs 3.99g and is 916.7 22ct Gold. - Minted by The South African Mint, Pretoria. - VAT free. - Dimension: Diameter: 19.4mm Thickness: 1.00mm. - Mixed date selection. **Other Information**The 1 Rand Gold Coin was introduced in 1961 as a replacement for the South African Half Pound and they were minted until 1983.
