This Pre-Owned 2019 Canadian Maple 40th Anniversary 1oz Gold Coin was limited to only 15,000 coins and celebrated the 40th anniversary of the popular Maple Leaf series. The reverse of the coin features a single maple leaf which is integrated with the number '40' to mark the occasion. The weight and purity also feature on the reverse, along with a micro-engraved maple leaf privy mark which shows a '19' when viewed under magnification. The obverse of the coin bears a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, with details of the year and monetary denomination. - Weighs 1 troy ounce and is struck in 999.9 fine gold. - Manufactured by The Royal Canadian Mint. - Struck to a bullion finish. - VAT free. - Diameter: 30.00mm. Thickness: 2.80mm. - Limited mintage of only 15,000 coins. The Maple Leaf is Canada's national emblem. The Maple Leaf coin is the official gold coin of Canada. Canadian Maples have been produced since 1979 and celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2019. The Maple is one of the most popular and widely available gold coins in the world. Gold Maples are only produced from gold which has been mined from Canadian mines. The background of the 2019 Canadian Maple 1oz Gold Coin features a unique light diffracting pattern of radial lines. Precisely machined by the Royal Canadian Mint onto their master die, it creates a unique light diffracting pattern that has not been seen on other bullion coins. This makes the coins harder to replicate and provides another measure of security.
