This Pre-Owned 1928 Czech 10th Anniversary 2 Dukat Gold Coin celebrates the 10th anniversary of Czechoslovakia. The obverse of the coin features the Czech coat of arms with the years 1918-1928. A depiction of St. Wenceslaus raising his hand and holding a banner appears above. The reverse side of the coin bears a scene depicting a Saint and a demon pulling a plow. - Weighs 6.98g and is struck in 986.0 gold. - Manufactured by the Kremnica Mint, Slovakia. - Struck to a bullion finish. - VAT free. - Diameter: 22.00mm. Saint Procopius of Sazava was a Czech Benedictine monk who, according to folklore, is said to have harnessed a demon to a plow, and forced it to pull it. Wenceslaus I, was Prince of Bohemia from 921 until his death, and his martyrdom - along with the popularity of his biographies - led to his sainthood, posthumous declaration as king, and recognition as the patron saint of the Czech state.
