1oz Gold Coin 2024 Dragon and Koi - Perth Mint AINSLIE EXCLUSIVE The Perth Mint is pleased to present this stunning 1oz gold bullion coin, featuring a dragon and koi. In Chinese mythology, the dragon is a divine creature and an auspicious symbol of power, strength, wealth, and good fortune. Throughout East Asia and beyond, koi are synonymous with harmony and happiness, and are also said to be lucky omens for marriage and fertility. Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure gold and issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965. The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the Chinese Myths and Legends Dragon and Koi 2024 1oz Gold Bullion Coin. The coin’s reverse portrays a Chinese dragon and a koi. Eyed by both creatures, the flame-ringed pearl is the ancient embodiment of wisdom. Also included in the design is The Perth Mint’s ‘P125’ mintmark signifying The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary, as well as a ‘moon bridge’ – its high arch and reflection on the water creating the shape of the lunar body often associated with purity or perfection. The coin’s obverse depicts the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III. Also on the obverse is the coin’s weight, purity and monetary denomination. The Chinese Myths and Legends Dragon and Koi 2024 1oz Gold Bullion Coin is presented in a protective acrylic capsule.
