Celebrate Diwali with this 1 gram minted bar, crafted from 99.99% pure gold, combining cultural significance with investment value. Diwali is the ancient Hindu ‘festival of lights’. Celebrated by millions of people in India and all around the world, the five-day festival represents the triumph of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. The annual event marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year in October or November, with the date changing in accordance with the Hindu lunar calendar. Rituals practiced during Diwali include cleaning and decorating homes with oil lamps called diyas, family feasts, gift- giving, fireworks and sweets are other long-established customs. Participants also pay homage to Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, and the elephant headed Ganesha, the god of good fortune. Crafted from fine gold, the reverse of the bar features an elegant depiction of Lakshmi seated gracefully atop lotus flowers, cradling them in her hands. Before her rests a bowl brimming with coins, symbolizing abundance, while additional coins cascade from her open palm and a vessel by her side. The divine scene is framed by ornately adorned pillars, each embellished with hanging lamps that enhance the aura of prosperity and reverence. Also included in the design is The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The bar’s obverse features The Perth Mint’s logo with a floral motif patterned background. Also included in the design is the bar’s weight and fineness
